About diwali gifts at Gyffty

Diwali gifts are judged on whether they read correctly, not on what they cost. A box of sweets, something that gives light, and a piece for the puja room is the traditional shape of the gift, and it works whether it goes to a home or an office.

These hampers hold kaju katli and dry fruit, brass diyas and thali sets, scented candles and chocolate. Every one is assembled by hand and the box is lined and tied on the day it goes out.

Ordering for a team or a client list? We can change the contents, match a budget and add your branding to the card. Order a few days ahead of the festival: the week before Diwali is the busiest of our year and couriers slow down with it.

Diwali gifts — your questions answered

How far ahead should I order a Diwali hamper?

Four or five days before the festival for a single box, and two weeks for a corporate list. The week of Diwali is the busiest of our year and every courier in the country is in the same position; ordering early is the difference between arriving before the puja and arriving after it.

What goes into a traditional Diwali gift?

Something sweet, something that gives light, and something for the puja room. In practice that is mithai or dry fruit, diyas or a candle, and a thali set or a small idol. Our Diwali hampers are built on that shape because it is the one that reads correctly when it is opened.

Can I order Diwali hampers in bulk for my staff or clients?

Yes, and it is a large part of what we do in October. We can hold a budget per box, change the contents, print your logo on the card and deliver to one address or to a list of them. Tell us the headcount and the budget and we will come back with options.

Are the sweets in your Diwali hampers fresh?

The mithai is nitrogen-flushed and sealed by the maker, which is what gives it a shelf life long enough to travel. Dry fruit and chocolate keep longer again. Every pack carries its own date on the back.

Can I send a Diwali hamper without sweets?

Yes. Dry fruit, diyas, candles and pooja items make a complete gift on their own, and it is the right call for someone diabetic or avoiding sugar. Ask and we will swap the sweets for something else of the same value.

Do you deliver on Diwali day itself?

In Bengaluru, usually. Elsewhere it depends on the courier and we would rather be honest than optimistic in that week. Order to arrive a day or two early: a hamper sitting ready on the morning of the festival is better than one in transit.

Can I add my own sweets or a bottle to the hamper?

We can add most things you send us, and we will pack them as though they were ours. Alcohol we cannot ship — the courier rules on it vary by state and none of them are worth risking a gift on.

Do you deliver across India?

Yes. We deliver nationwide from our studio in Bengaluru. Metro cities and most tier-two cities are the quickest; remote pin codes add a day or two. The delivery window shown on each product is the one we commit to for that item.

Can I include a handwritten message?

Every hamper takes a message card, written by hand and tucked inside before the box is tied. Add your words at checkout. If you would rather the card stayed blank so you can write it yourself, say so and we will leave it.

What happens if something arrives damaged?

Send us one photograph on WhatsApp and we will remake the affected part and resend it. We do not ask you to return a damaged gift first — it is a present, and the person receiving it should not be handling a return.
